Suspicious packages at Vanderhoof post office contained nontoxic white powder – RCMP

VANDERHOOF — RCMP have followed up on Friday’s report of a suspicious occurrence at Vanderhoof’s Canada Post office.

RCMP reported that the office had located a number of suspicious packages containing a powder leading to the evacuation of everyone in the office.

RCMP have now concluded their investigation and have determined that the powder was nontoxic.

However the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to call the Vanderhoof RCMP at (250)567-2222.
