Indigenous doctor honoured with Hall of Fame recognition

PRINCE GEORGE – Dr. Nadine Caron has made history as the first Canadian female general surgeon of First Nations descent.
She’s also proud to be the first woman of First Nations heritage to graduate from the University of British Columbia’s medical school.
Based in Northern British Columbia as a surgical oncologist, Dr. Caron has led initiatives focused on enhancing cancer treatment, personalized medicine, and healthcare access in rural and remote communities.
