City of PG working on new active transportation plan

PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George is looking for public feedback to help build a vision for the future of active transportation in the community.

“The updated Plan will guide the development of infrastructure and programs that support safer, more accessible, and more convenient travel options for people of all ages and abilities—whether on foot, by bike, using a wheelchair, or by scooter,” reads a press release from the city. “The location-specific feedback gathered during the Official Community Plan engagement process will help inform the City’s “Existing Conditions” report, which is expected to be finished this summer.”

Consultation on the plan will begin this summer, with broader input expect this fall.

“Throughout summer 2025, engagement will focus on conversations with community organizations and government partners to help shape the foundation of the plan. Broader public engagement opportunities will be available in fall 2025, where community members will be invited to review and provide feedback on proposed directions.”
