Spruce Kings announce team captain
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings have announced defenseman Isaac Holt as their team captain – the 24th since the team joined the BCHL in 1996.
Holt hails from Pembroke, Ontario and is entering his second season with the Kings. The 6’5”, 233 pound defenseman put up a goal and three assists last season while picking up 66 penalty minutes. He was acquired in a trade with the Vernon Vipers early last season.
“I’m super honoured to be named captain. There’s a lot of great players that have worn this jersey and worn the ‘C’ in this organization, and I hope that I can continue to hold the standard that they have already set. I’m just looking to bring out the best of our team and hoping they can do the same for me,” said Holt.
