Two forwards commit to Spruce Kings

PRINCE GEORGE — The Spruce Kings have announced two player commitments for this season.

The first is 2006 born-forward Spencer Masters. The 6’2, 205 pounder hails from Edmonton where he spent the past two seasons with the Camrose Kodiaks of the Alberta Hockey League. .

Last season, Masters scored 17 goals and added 22 assists for 39 points in 44 games. He added two goals and two assists in five playoff games.

Spencer is a very smart well-rounded player with good size. He plays the middle and is very responsible in all areas of the game. He’s a great addition for us,” says Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.

I’m very excited to start the next chapter of my career with Prince George. It is a privilege to be a part of such a solid organization, I’m looking forward to getting on the ice with my new teammates and making an impact. I’m ready to give everything I’ve got on and off the ice to make this team successful,” says Masters.

The Kings also announced the commitment of 2006-born forward Matic Perčič for the 2025-2026 season.

Perčič, whose older brother Maks played for the Spruce Kings last season, is 6’3, 220 pounds from Maribor, Slovenia. He played last season with the Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League. Perčič scored 14 goals and added 24 assists in 51 games.

Previously, Perčič played for Kiekko-Espoo U18 out of Finland and has represented Slovenia at the IIHF World Junior Championship U18 Division 1B, and both the U20 Division 1A and 1B events.
