Kodiaks’ Boreham named CJFL coach of the year

PRINCE GEORGE — A big accolade for Prince George Kodiaks Head Coach Jamie Boreham, as he was named the Canadian Junior Football League’s (CJFL) coach of the year.

Boreham led the 5-4-1 Kodiaks to their best ever regular season record, and their first ever playoff berth in the BC Football Conference (BCFC). The Kodiaks finished third in the seven-team league, but they fell 45-28 to the Westshore Rebels in the playoffs.

The former CFL-er was also named BCFC coach of the year last month.

Elsewhere, Kodiaks linebacker Caiden Crow was named a CJFL Second-Team All-Canadian in his final season of eligibility. Crow had 45 tackles, 15 assisted tackles, one interception, two knockdowns and he recovered two fumbles during the regular season.
