Workers in the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George have officially ratified a new five-year collective agreement. CUPE 1699 members and the Regional District’s Board of Directors approved the deal on Wednesday and Thursday, following mediation earlier in the week. Plus local leaders in the Fort St. James area are asking for help from Victoria to help keep the emergency room in the year old hospital staffed. And UNBC business students are gearing up for their annual “chillin 4 charity” event, an event that sees students jump into ice water in the middle of winter to raise money for the community.
