Quesnel RCMP hosting annual Stuff a Cruiser campaign on Dec. 6 and 7
QUESNEL, B.C. — RCMP in Quesnel are hosting their annual Stuff a Cruiser campaign in early December to support local families in need over the holidays.
Mounties will be set up in the Walmart Parking lot at 890 Rita Road between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 7 to accept donations of non-perishable food, unopened toys, winter clothing and hygiene products.
Police say all of the donated items will then be distributed to local food banks, seniors, as well as to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Quesnel. Last year, the event helped raise about $4,500 in cash and gift cards, 2,028 pounds of food, and over 800 toys.
“This program has been a big success in past years thanks to the generous people of Quesnel,” RCMP Sgt. Clay Kronebusch said in a statement. “We’re hoping this year will be just as successful in helping out families in need of assistance over the holiday season.”
