Ronald McDonald Family Room at UHNBC now open for families

The University Hospital of Northern BC supports families from across the entire northern half of the province. But when a child is receiving care in the pediatrics unit, the NICU, or other departments, a stay in Prince George can bring added challenges especially during long hospital visits. Now, UHNBC has a new space designed to ease that burden. The Ronald McDonald Family Room offers parents and caregivers a place to rest, recharge, and step away from the clinical setting, whether for a few hours or an overnight stay. We learn more about the impact of this space from Eric Simmons of McDonald’s Prince George and from Dave Horton, whose own family relied on the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver during his children’s care.
