Cougars lose in Penticton

PENTICTON — Brady Birnie scored a hat-trick to lead the Penticton Vees to a 5-2 win over the Prince George Cougars Wednesday night at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Aiden Foster and Shaun Rios scored for the Cougars who outshot the hosts 32-28.

Alexander Levshyn took the loss in net for Prince George who are now five points up on Penticton in the B.C. Division.

With the loss, Prince George now sports a 22-9 record. They play in Everett Friday night.
