Blowing snow advisory issued for Pine Pass
PRINCE GEORGE — Environment Canada has issued a blowing snow advisory for the Pine Pass area, which could mean challenging conditions for drivers on Highway 97.
The advisory comes as the weather agency says there could be periods of near-zero visibility in blowing snow Sunday (Dec. 21) to early Monday morning.
“A weather system will bring snow to the northern interior including the Pine Pass area on Sunday,” Environment Canada said. “Arctic air east of the Rockies will push through the pass, producing strong and gusty northeast winds.”
“The combination of the snow and winds will generate low visibility in blowing snow.”
