Water service repairs scheduled for 15th Avenue on Thursday
PRINCE GEORGE — Water service repairs will close 15th Avenue at Johnson Street this Thursday between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The work will be conducted by the City of Prince George and will impact westbound traffic only. Sidewalk access will be available on the east side of 15th Avenue.
The City says the work involves replacing a water service installed in the 1960s. Nearby properties may experience temporary changes in water pressure or sediment. The City says the water is safe to drink, and residents are asked to run their taps until the water clears if discolored. Properties affected by water shutoffs will be notified in advance.
A detour will be in place along Johnson Street to 10th Avenue. Motorists are asked to follow posted signage and use caution near the work area.
