One person seriously injured in Highway 97 south crash

PRINCE GEORGE — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 South last night (Feb.24).

The crash occurred on Highway 97 South near Woodpecker Landing Road and was reported to Prince George RCMP just after 9 p.m.

Police say the incident involved a Honda Fit and a semi-trailer truck with the driver of the Honda taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries.

“Police officers continue to investigate this incident but do not suspect any criminality and believe the weather conditions last night to be a contributing factor,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
