Vancouver Canucks deal winger Garland to Columbus Blue Jackets for draft picks
VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks have dealt winger Conor Garland to the Columbus Blue Jackets ahead of the NHL’s trade deadline on Friday.
The team announced late Thursday that they’ll receive a second-round pick in the 2028 draft and a third-round selection this year in exchange for the 29-year-old forward.
Garland has seven goals and 26 points over 50 games this season.
The feisty forward from Scituate, Mass., signed a six-year, US$36-million extension with the Canucks last July — a contract that doesn’t kick in until the 2026-27 season.
