RiverBend Affordable Housing Centre Officially Opens

Affordable Seniors housing has always been an issue in Prince George but steps were taken over three years ago to build a brand new facility in the city. After 20 months of construction and thousands of working hours, that facility is now open. It was a packed crowd on hand to see the Mayor cut the ribbon at the Riverbend Seniors Community Complex on the corner of Oak and 20th. There are 173 units, with close to 70 being used for assisted living and the rest being sold. Residents began moving in at the end of September.
