Rivermen beat Spruce Kings to even series at 2

LANGLEY — The Langley Rivermen defeated the Prince George Spruce Kings 5-4 Wednesday night to even the first round playoff series at two games apiece before 728 fans at George Preston Arena in Langley.

Tai Ushio scored a pair of goals in a losing cause. Ben Vreugdenhil and Carter Hesselgrave had the other Spruce Kings goals.

The Rivermen’s Parker Forlin scored the game winning goal at the 18:26 mark of the third period. Langley outshot Prince George 32-31.
