Fire on Pine Street deemed ‘suspicious’

PRINCE GEORGE — No injuries in a fire on the 1600 block of Pine Street last (April 16) night.

Prince George Fire Rescue arrived at 7 p.m. to find that a fire had spread to a home and two vehicles from nearby cedar trees.

Crews quickly extinguished the blaze to prevent any more damage to the home. The cause of the fire is considered suspicious, and the investigation is now in the hands of the RCMP.

Damages are estimated at $70,000.
