Fort George Baptist Church damaged by fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire early this evening (May 1) at Fort George Baptist Church on the 1600-block of Johnson Street.

Crews arrived on scene after 6 p.m. to find flames coming from the side of the church.

By 7:30 p.m. Friday night, Prince George Fire Rescue appeared to have the fire under control.

By 7:30 p.m., fire crews appeared to have the fire under control with RCMP blocking the entrance to Johnson Street from 15th Avenue.
