Clippers take early series lead over Spruce Kings

PRINCE GEORGE — The Nanaimo Clippers took the opening matchup of their BCHL Playoff Series against the Prince George Spruce Kings with a shutout victory on Friday night (May 1).

The Clippers earned one goal in the first period and three in the second to secure their 4-0 win over the Spruce Kings.

Spruce Kings players only took eight shots on net through the first two periods of play and 11 more in the third.

Meanwhile, the Clippers kept up an aggressive match with 34 shots throughout the game.
