Fire at the 1200 block of 4th Avenue
Structure fire damages multiple local businesses

PRINCE GEORGE, BC- Late Monday night (May 18) , a fire erupted in Downtown Prince George at the location of the 1200 block of 4th Avenue.
The City of Prince George released a statement Tuesday morning (May 19) that states: “Crews from three halls arrived to find an exterior electrical room and stairwell to the second floor fully involved in fire.” With fire crews working quickly, the fire was put out, but the row of local businesses near the fire did not have the same luck.
It is noted that “several businesses were affected due to electrical damage and smoke in the building.” said the statement from the city.
The cause of the fire thus far is unknown and no injuries were reported.
