Prince George’s hidden gem: Ninja League

May 20, 2026 | 11:15 AM

PRINCE GEORGE BC- Riley Banzer, the owner of Olympus Free Running just competed in the national level for ninja league, an obstacle based challenge, focused on the cohesion of the mind and body to be able to overtake and overcome challenges of all shapes and sizes. This sport has been known in British Columbia for a bit, being super popular down south, but still a hidden gem here up north. Banzer said ” It is taking a good long while to saturate up here in Prince George.”

With Ninja League being a bit of a hidden gem within the community, it has still managed to outreach to athletes wanting to compete in Ninja League. Athlete Keegan Dobbs also competed in the national level for this sport and spoke to how it can be nerve wracking in the beginning to have confidence within yourself, but once you have that, it all starts to come naturally. Dobbs said “Makes me feel fantastic, going through the air, climbing and jumping on things, at one point which I thought was entirely impossible.” But with the extra push of self drive and determination, anyone can perform and do well in Ninja League.
