$30 million in borrowing to go before Prince George City Council for approval
More than $30 million in proposed borrowing is set to go before Prince George city council for final approval at its meeting on June 8, after not enough residents submitted opposition forms during the AAP Process. Adam Berls has more.
PRINCE GEORGE — More than $30 million in proposed borrowing is set to go before Prince George city council for final approval at its meeting on Monday, June 8, after not enough residents submitted opposition forms during the Alternative Approval Process (AAP).
On April 28, the City of Prince George launched AAPs for five borrowing bylaws totaling $30.046 million. The proposed loans include:
- $15.86 million for building envelope renewal at the CN Centre,
- $5.15 million for the expansion of Memorial Park Cemetery,
- $4.086 million for equipment purchases,
- $2.5 million for stormwater system renewal, and
- $2.45 million for roof replacements at civic facilities.
