Commercial structure fire on George Street

PRINCE GEORGE — There were no injuries in a commercial structure fire on the 100 block of George Street this morning (June 8).

Prince George Fire Rescue responded to the fire at around 7 a.m. to find fire on the exterior of a multi-unit residential occupancy.

Crews extinguished the fire from the exterior of the structure, then went inside and prevented the fire’s spread.

The cause of the fire is being investigated with the damage estimated at $20,000.
