Power outage on the Hart

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The outage affecting 1,662 residents has ended, however, there are still over 1,300 customers without power in other areas.

According to BC Hydro, 1,136 customers are without power west of Maldowan Forest Service Road.

BC Hydro attributes both outages to stormy weather with trees coming into contact to power lines. A crew has been assigned to the outage on Maldowan Forest Service Road.

According to BC Hydro, the power went out at 1:28 p.m. and is affecting 1,662 hydro customers.

No word yet on a cause though BC Hydro has assigned a crew to the outage. The outage is currently affecting residents north of PG Pulpmill Road, west of Shelley Road, and east of Driftwood Road.
