Quick response contains residential fire on North Moffat Street
Prince George, B.C. — A residential fire in the 200 block of North Moffat Street was brought under control quickly Wednesday evening, thanks to a swift response from Prince George Fire Rescue crews.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 6 p.m. on June 17 after reports of a structure fire at a single-family residence. According to a media release issued by Prince George Fire Rescue, crews arriving on scene observed light smoke coming from the front entrance of the home.
Firefighters from three halls responded to the incident, working efficiently to assess the situation and contain the fire before it could spread further into the residence or to nearby properties. The blaze was extinguished shortly after crews arrived, preventing more extensive damage. Officials estimate the cost of damage to the home at approximately $10,000.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the fire. Fire crews confirmed that all occupants were safe, and no firefighters required medical attention.
