American Idol standout John Foster set for Canadian debut at the 2026 Energetic County Fair

Just over a year after capturing the attention of millions on American Idol, rising country music star John Foster is preparing for what appears to be his first major Canadian performance at the 2026 Energetic County Fair in Fort St. John on July 17. Foster, who finished as the runner-up on Season 23 of the hit singing competition in 2025, has quickly turned his television success into a growing career on the country music scene. Since his time on American Idol, the Louisiana native has built a busy touring schedule, released original music, and made multiple appearances at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry.
