Félix Dolci leads six-gold day for Canada at Commonwealth Games
GLASGOW — Gymnast Félix Dolci captured two titles to lead another stellar day for Canada at the Commonwealth Games.
Weightlifters Maude Charron and Charlotte Simoneau, swimmer Kylie Masse and hammer thrower Camryn Rogers also topped the podium to add to Canada’s tally on Tuesday.
Dolci claimed his third and fourth gold medals of the Games, beginning the day with a winning average of 13.766 in the men’s vault to beat England’s Luke Whitehouse (13.749) and Neofytos Kyriakou of Cyprus (13.733).
The 24-year-old from Laval, Que., capped the competition with another victory in the men’s horizontal bar, scoring 14.233. Fellow Laval native William Émard took bronze, while Marios Georgiou of Cyprus collected silver.
