Frizzell launches bid for Prince George mayor
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George city councillor Garth Frizzell has officially entered the race for mayor, announcing Wednesday that he will seek the city’s top elected position in the 2026 municipal election.
Frizzell said his campaign will be built around economic development, public safety, restoring trust in government and preparing Prince George for future growth.
Frizzell, who has served five terms on city council over the past 18 years, said residents are looking for leadership that is focused on results and bringing people together.
“You deserve leadership that cares and listens, that works for everyone, and that delivers,” Frizzell said. “In our part of the world, we need leadership that brings people together instead of pushing them apart.”
