Sampson launches Prince George bid
PRINCE GEORGE – One week after announcing his intention to seek the city’s top elected position, Prince George City Councillor Kyle Sampson officially launched his mayoral campaign Thursday, promising experienced leadership and a focus on growth, public safety and improved service at City Hall.
Sampson unveiled his campaign at Studio 2880, surrounded by supporters, community members and local leaders. The two-term councillor used the event to outline the priorities that will guide his campaign ahead of the October 17 municipal election.
The campaign is built around four key themes: A City Unlocking Opportunity, A City That’s Safe, A City People Choose, and A City That Works for You.
Speaking to supporters and media, Sampson said Prince George is entering a critical period in its development and will need strong leadership to capitalize on expected economic and population growth across Northern British Columbia.
