Local hands, local hearts on display at the BCNE
PRINCE GEORGE – Barbara Marwood spends over 100 hours making each quilt. Many are stacked at her home, but she gives them away whenever her community needs them.
This weekend, some of her work will be on display at the British Columbia Northern Exhibition in Prince George. Local residents are filling a hockey arena at Exhibition Park with quilts, paintings, preserves, and farm-fresh eggs. Many of these items took a whole year to make.
For those entering their work, it means more than just winning a ribbon.
