Bruce Wayne launches candidacy for Prince George City Council
PRINCE GEORGE — Community advocate Bruce Wayne has announced his candidacy for Prince George City Council in the municipal election scheduled for Oct. 17, 2026, unveiling a campaign initiative aimed at gathering feedback directly from residents across the city.
The initiative, called The Empty Chair Project, will see Wayne travel throughout Prince George over the coming months, inviting residents to share their concerns, ideas and priorities for the community.
Rather than beginning his campaign with policy announcements, Wayne said he wants to start by listening.
“Most political campaigns begin with candidates telling people what they think. I want to begin by asking people what they think,” Wayne said in a statement. “That empty chair belongs to the people of Prince George. Sit down. Tell me what’s working, what isn’t, and what you want your next City Council to understand.”
