Growing political divide creates opening for CentreBC, but challenges remain
PRINCE GEORGE — British Columbia’s political landscape is becoming increasingly polarized, with the province’s major parties drawing sharper ideological lines and leaving some voters searching for a political home in the middle.
That growing divide is one of the key themes being highlighted by CentreBC Leader Mike Bernier, who was in Prince George this week as part of a province-wide tour aimed at building support for his fledgling party ahead of the next provincial election.
“We have the NDP who feels like they just want to go further left under David Eby. We have the BC Conservatives going further right,” Bernier said.
