‘It didn’t seem real’: Man escapes Foothills plane crash with minor injuries
PRINCE GEORGE — A Prince George man who narrowly escaped serious injury in Thursday’s plane crash on Foothills Boulevard says the experience still feels unreal days later.
Prince George RCMP confirmed that one person died as a result of the August 20 incident when a small aircraft made an emergency landing on Foothills Boulevard, approximately 1.5 kilometres north of North Nechako Road. Police later confirmed the fatality was an occupant of one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
The aircraft, identified as a Beechcraft King Air 200 operated by Sekani Air Ltd., reportedly collided with vehicles after making the emergency landing at approximately 2:20 p.m.
