Seventh MLA walks as B.C. Conservative turmoil deepens
PRINCE GEORGE – Another MLA has left the B.C. Conservative caucus, and a former deputy premier says regular British Columbians are the ones affected.
Chilliwack-Cultus Lake MLA Á’a:líya Warbus said Monday she is leaving the caucus to become an Independent. Warbus said communication, transparency, and leadership have broken down under party leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay.
Warbus said she no longer feels she can represent her constituents well from inside the caucus. She raised concerns about staffing decisions, critic appointments, and how the party operates. She said members often found out about these issues on social media before hearing from party leaders.
