Phoenix Transition Society named beneficiary of Miracle On 3rd fundraiser
PRINCE GEORGE — Phoenix Transition Society will be the beneficiary of this year’s Miracle On 3rd fundraiser, an annual community event that supports local non-profit organizations serving residents across the Prince George region.
Pattison Media’s Prince George Division announced the selection this week, with the one-day fundraising campaign scheduled for November 25 at the corner of Winnipeg Street and Third Avenue.
Phoenix Transition Society has been serving northern B.C. since 1974 and works to support women and children affected by violence. The organization provides temporary shelter and a range of support services aimed at helping clients transition to safe and stable living situations. In addition to emergency accommodation, the society offers advocacy, programming and connections to community resources for women and families.
The annual Miracle On 3rd event brings together radio, television and community partners to raise money and collect donations for a selected local charity. This year, 101.3 The River, 99.3 REWIND Radio and CKPG-TV will broadcast live from the fundraising site between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
