Evacuation Alerts For Upper Mud River

The Regional District of Fraser Fort George has issued evacuation alerts for 39 properties in the area of Upper Mud River Road due to high water in the area. 

The Regional District is recommending home owners take measures in preparation:

• move equipment and farm implements to higher ground;
• make arrangements for pets and livestock to be moved to safe locations;
• gather important papers in water-tight containers and move valuables to alternate locations; and
• prepare a 72-hour personal survival kit for you and your family.

The Regional District is also urging people to stay away from the edge of rivers with fast-moving water.
