Jamieson seeks to succeed Dunphy in RDFFG Electoral Area F
PRINCE GEORGE — A longtime volunteer firefighter and business owner is seeking election as the next Regional District of Fraser-Fort George Electoral Area F director.
Gary Jamieson has entered the race to replace retiring director Kevin Dunphy, who has represented the area for the past 18 years. Jamieson says Dunphy provided strong leadership and advocacy for the region, and his retirement motivated him to step forward.
“I thought I’ll just keep going,” Jamieson said. “It’s another position.”
Jamieson has spent 23 years serving the community as a volunteer firefighter with Ferndale-Tabor Fire Rescue, eventually becoming a training officer. He says that experience taught him the importance of listening to residents and working to address community concerns.
