Jamieson seeks to succeed Dunphy in RDFFG Electoral Area F

If elected, Jamieson says one of his priorities will be ensuring people feel heard and receive answers to their questions, even if he has to do additional research to find those answers.

Area F includes communities stretching from Willow River to areas near Tabor Mountain and beyond. Jamieson says residents are trying to balance development opportunities with preserving the area’s rural and agricultural character.

He notes that employment challenges have emerged in the wake of forestry sector declines and mill closures, leaving residents looking for new opportunities while wanting to maintain the lifestyle that drew them to the region in the first place.

“They want to keep the city people and the city attitudes in the city and keep the country for the country people,” he said.

Jamieson also believes public safety is becoming a growing concern in some communities. He says rising crime and property theft have become issues for residents in parts of the electoral area and hopes to use his decades of emergency services experience to help address those concerns.

A resident of the Taylor Lake area for 24 years, Jamieson operates a gravel trucking business and says he hopes to continue serving the community in a new role through local government.
