PRINCE GEORGE – Council was presented with the latest report from Administration in what has been a lengthy discussion about what should be the new face of downtown. Council was expected to make a decision on potential options for a performing arts centre and an ice arena. But it didn’t happen. Plus Carrier Sekani Family Services wrapped up its annual Elders Conference in Prince George this week with a celebration of culture, wellness and Indigenous knowledge. The event also marked the release of a new book preserving the stories and teachings of Carrier and Sekani Elders for future generations. And the Prince George Cougars are gearing up for an early-season road trip, and they’ll do it with a major boost as forward Aiden Foster returns from NHL camp.
