Cougars turn page in goal
PRINCE GEORGE-The Prince George Cougars are entering a new chapter in goal after the departure of one of the team’s most popular players.
The club announced this week that goaltender Alexander Levshyn has cleared WHL overage waivers as the Cougars move to the league maximum of three 20-year-old players. While the move was necessary from a roster standpoint, it marks the end of the road in Prince George for a player who made a lasting impression on teammates, fans, and the community.
Levshyn became a fan favourite during his time with the Cougars thanks to his outgoing personality, enthusiasm, and energy around the rink. Whether he was interacting with fans or supporting teammates, he quickly became a respected presence both on and off the ice.
