UNBC Timberwolves take losses against UVIC Vikes

PRINCE GEORGE — The UNBC Timberwolves soccer teams suffered a pair of losses to the UVIC Vikes on Friday night (Oct. 16) at Centennial Stadium in Victoria.

The men’s team battled hard against the hosting Vikes, but ultimately fell with 3-0 shutout loss.

Despite the result, defender Koss Nystedt earned Mr. Mikes Player of the Game honors for the Timberwolves, putting in a full-90-minute defensive shift with several plays to disrupt the Vikes’ offense.

The women’s team faired slightly better, with a strong defense and a late-game goal to end with a 3-1 loss.
