SnowShop tackles B.C.’s changing snowpack
PRINCE GEORGE – Researchers and professionals from across British Columbia are gathering in Prince George to better understand the province’s changing snowpack and what those changes could mean for communities in the north.
The B.C. SnowShop is a two-day workshop being held Nov. 5 and 6 at UNBC’s Prince George campus. The event brings together snow researchers, government, industry professionals and other experts to share research, discuss gaps in current knowledge and explore ways to improve snow monitoring and forecasting across the province.
The workshop combines presentations and guided discussions on observations, modelling and the impacts associated with a changing snowpack.
