NUGSS Looking At Ways Of Cutting Costs

The Northern Undergraduate Student Society at UNBC has been in financial hardships for a number of years.
Just last year the society was in $100,000 of debt, and now they are asking its members on ways to cut down costs, to erase some of that debt.
It includes possibly eliminating some positions on its Board of Directors.
Potential new changes will be voted on at next month’s AGM, where 75 percent of those in attendance have to agree on the changes.
One Graduate student believes cutting costs on the board, won’t help much, but eliminating more pricier items such as costs associated with the Thirsty Moose pub, would be more beneficial.
The pub has been losing $40,000 every year.
