Former Saik’uz Chief Passes

The Carrier Sekani Tribal Council is mourning the loss of a former Chief of the Saik’uz First Nation.
Stanley Thomas is being remembered for the critical role he played in supporting and mentoring peers in the region and at various negotiation tables. The Tribal Council says he was seen as a formidable political leader.
Thomas, a member of the Frog Clan was 59. He is survived by his wife and five children.
A funeral will be held October 28 at 2:00 PM at the Multiplex at the Saik’uz First Nation.
