PRINCE GEORGE – Following an early morning presentation on pedestrian safety at CNC, a new road safety campaign was launched for international students. The partnership is comprised of ICBC, RCMP and CNC.

Three road safety videos featuring CNC international students were shown that targets distracted driving, pedestrian safety and speeding. The motivation behind this project was a recent tragedy involving a CNC international student. The videos will run during the preshow at the movie theatre starting next month until February.

“It is important to learn road safety rules anytime you’re in a new country,” said Barbra Old, Director of International Education. “Road safety has always been a part of international orientation but have decided to make it the focus of an educational campaign this year.”
