BC Transit Bringing In Bigger Buses For Hwy 16 Routes

BC Transit have confirmed they have ordered three new buses to help with transportation along Highway 16 between Prince George and Smithers.
Ridership has been high and the current buses have a seating capacity of 20 passengers.
The new buses are expected to be rolled out next summer and they will have a capacity of 30.
A BC Transit spokesperson says they have ordered the new buses and they will be used along the Highway 16 routes 161 and 162,Prince George to Burns Lake and Burns Lake to Smithers.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure committed $6.4-million in provincial and federal dollars towards the Highway 16 Transportation Action Plan.
