PRINCE GEORGE – Members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are showing their frustration today, locally, with pickets up at several locations around town.

“There are a few things they’ve moved on and we’ve come back with a few things as well,” says Clark Rasmussen, President of CUP-W, Local 812. “Still our major issues, health and safety, is still forefront and it’s not being addressed.”

He says he is hearing from small businesses, which largely is supporting the workers. Heather Potts with Dancing Loon Cree-Ations is one of those small businesses. She says she is willing to take a hit to the bottom line to support the workers.

“It does cost me a little bit more. Because I’m a small business, it hurts but I just try and work around,” she says from her shop in the Hart Mall. “I support people if I can if I agree with they’re doing.”
