Anyone who’s played competitive sports for a long time knows that they’re a lot more than just a game, and when you stop playing it leaves a pretty big void in your life. Well this past weekend, former Spruce Kings forward Bryant Christian had an unfortunate incident happen to him in the final game of his college hockey career, as he broke his leg on this first shift of the game. But Christian wasn’t ready to let that be the way he ended his career, so with time winding down in the game he asked his coach if he’d put him back on the ice, broken leg and all. According to InForum.com, Christian’s coach Eric Lang had tears in his eyes as he told his captain to go back on the ice for one last shift. As you can see here, Christian is still managing to skate around even though he had a broken tibia, and said he couldn’t feel any pain because of all the adrenaline. The Minnesota native grew up dreaming of playing N-C-double-A D-1 hockey.
