High-Risk Offenders Arrested After Police Pursuit

TERRACE – Two wanted men have been arrested after a vehicle take-down took place Sunday night. At around 6 pm, Terrace RCMP were informed that the two offenders were in a black truck, heading towards Terrace. Police attempted to stop the vehicle before it collided with a cruiser. The two men briefly fled on foot before being taken into custody. Drugs and cash were seized at the scene. Lane Peepchuk, 44, was arrested on warrants related to forcible confinement, assault, assault with a weapon, robbery, possession of a weapon, uttering threats, drug possession and failing to appear in court. Mark Barg, 48, was arrested on warrants for failure to comply with a probation order, flight from police, dangerously operating a vehicle and two counts of failure to comply with probation.
