Man Hospitalized After Vehicle Collision

QUESNEL – A man is in the hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle collision occurred late Friday morning. It happened on Highway 97 near North Star Road in Quesnel involving a small sedan heading southbound and a semi-truck heading northbound. The driver of the car was initially trapped inside the vehicle but was quickly removed by emergency crews. Traffic was briefly re-routed for about an hour so the investigation could take place. RCMP say it’s still unclear if speed or impairment were factors.
