2018 TedXUNBC Call For Speakers Extended Due To Lower Number Of Applicants

PRINCE GEORGE – Speakers who want their voice to be heard have a little more time to apply for the 2018 TEDxUNBC. Applications to present at the event closed this past weekend. However, due to a decrease in applications, the committee has extended the deadline to June 22. That means prospective speakers have until next Friday to submit their proposal.

“We didn’t get as many applicants as we have in past years,” says Grant Bachand, TEDxUNBC.

A total of 10 speakers will be chosen by a TEDxUNBC selection panel; half will be from the community, and half will be connected to the University of Northern British Columbia. Last month, TedxUNBC made a call for speakers who believed they could answer the question: ‘what will the next 150 years will look like?’

The event itself has also been pushed back from September 29 to November 17.
